3.78 Release Notes

Release Overview

The focus of this release was to modernise the Project Details screen whilst improving usability.

Improvements

AD-1736 Project Details Redesign
We have redesigned the Project Details screen from the ground up to freshen it up with a more current UI and new shortcuts throughout. The main changes are:

  • Full design upgrade. No more information hidden behind different tabs, a scrollable interface to quickly get a handle on the key features of your project

  • Drag n Drop zones. Drag and drop your artwork, documents and production files straight into the system

  • Shortcuts. New shortcuts for quickly changing the phase of the job, and adding organisations and users

  • Approvals overview. A new approvals overview module which shows the number of pending, approved, rejected and finalised deliverables. Items that you need to review or view feedback for are better highlighted.

To show some of these features in action, we have prepared a short video which can be viewed here.

AD-276 Ability to put a project on hold
You can now put projects On Hold. Whilst a project is on hold, you can only perform basic tasks on it. These include:

  • Download artwork, documents and production files

  • Add WIP Notes

  • Delete the project

  • Take the project Off Hold

When searching the In Progress list, these jobs are hidden by default but can be included in your results if needed.

  • AD-1731 Briefs > When submitting a brief, prevent the submitter from editing the recipients
A submission brief is intended to allow teams to fill out briefs. It is then sent to a default recipient (ie manager) who converts the brief into a project. The recipients list was originally configured to be editable. We have now limited it so that users cannot edit the recipients list when submitting the brief.

  • AD-1618 Submitted Brief > Create Project > List the submitter as the project owner
As mentioned above, under certain conditions, completed briefs are submitted to a user/s who then convert them into projects. If the submitter and the recipient were both from the same organisation, the recipient would be listed as the project owner. The submitter is the project owner.

  • AD-1751 Allow briefs to support traditional Chinese characters
Briefs can now support traditional Chinese characters.

Resource Management
These items are only available to organisations who have access to the Resources module. If you would like more information on this, please contact your admation liaison.

  • AD-1665 My Tasks > Allow users to quickly assign a batch of tasks to themselves
When users are looking at their Tasks list, they are now able to assign a batch of tasks to themselves.

  • AD-1734 New Task > Create New Project > Ability to select an advertiser
Previously, if you created a New Task and couldn't find an existing project to attach it to, you were able to create a new project right there. However, as an agency user, you were unable to set an advertiser (client) for the project. We have now fixed this issue. See appendix 3 for more information.

  • AD-1740 Away Days > Ability to set Public Holidays
We have added a new module in the Admin system that allows you to add public holidays for your organisation. Public holidays are automatically applied to all users in your organisation and will look and function like Away Days in the resource management system.

Bug Fixes

  • AD-1741 Submission Manager > Simple view allows you to submit to individuals even if your permissions don't allow it
We are able to set up user permissions to restrict approval request submissions to predefined Approval Templates only. There was a bug in the Simple View of the Submission Manager which allowed users with this permission to continue submitting work to individuals. This has now been fixed.

  • AD-1544 Full Screen Approval View > Word/Excel file > Default to Review mode
When you received a Word or Excel document for approval and you opened the full screen approval view, you were taken to the Markup mode. However, because the file could not be displayed in the system, the screen was appear blank. Now you will be taken into Review mode and will see a Word/Excel thumbnail, which signals that the screen has loaded, but the file cannot be displayed.
  • AD-1747 Briefs > Deliverables tab > Observe line breaks on the PDF
When filling in a brief with the Deliverables tab available, text in the Overview field now observes any line breaks that are added and displays them on the system-generated PDF.

  • AD-1748 Briefs > Deliverables tab > Asset Type list doesn't scroll
When filling in a brief with the Deliverables tab available, the Asset Type list now scrolls so that you can select from a lengthy list of asset types.
