This document outlines the new features, improvements, bug fixes and other tasks included in this admation release.
Release Overview
The focus of this release was to improve the way that online briefs work, as well as making incremental change throughout the rest of the system.
Improvements
AD-2091 Online Brief > Move deliverables tab contents into the brief itself
Online briefs have had the ability to create deliverables in new projects but this was always handled via a separate “Deliverables” tab within the brief. We have now removed this tab and included the deliverable manager within the brief itself.
As part of this, we have also included the ability for users to load documents against their deliverables within a brief, as well as enter any specifications that a designer might require.
AD-1979 Online Forms > Add rich text formatting to text areas
Text areas within a brief/form can now have rich text formatting applied to them via a new interface. You can style your text in the following ways;
Bold, Italic, Underline
Justification
Indent/Outdent
Colour
- Dot points
AD-1909 Online Brief (within an existing job) > Make it easier to see which deliverable the document is for
Now, when filling in an online form within an existing project, the resulting document will have the job name listed next to it so it can be easily identified. We have also adjusted the file name of the PDF that is downloaded to include the job name and ID too.
If the online form (called “Task Brief”) is attached to a deliverable named “Wednesday Sale eDM” with the ID “12345”, the naming convention for the filename of the PDF will be;
Wednesday_Sale_eDM_12345_Task_Brief.pdf
Now, when filling in an online form , Markets can be displayed in a list that can be collapsed/expanded rather than just from a long list as was previously the case.
If you would like to add online briefs to admation then please contact your client liaison and they will be able to help.
AD-2114 Projects and Ad Storage Lists > Ability to search by tags
Now within the Projects and Ad Storage lists you are able to select the tags you want to search by. This functionality was already available in the Asset Library list which makes these lists a little more consistent.
AD-2014 Project > Approvals > Better distinguish between brief and artwork approvals
We have updated the UI to better allow users to see whether the artwork or a brief/document have had feedback given on them.
AD-2121 Project > Project Overview > Add rich text formatting options
When editing the Project Overview for a job, you are now able to add some formatting to the text. You can style your text in the following ways;
Bold, Italic, Underline
Justification
Indent/Outdent
Colour
- Dot points
AD-2075 Automatically send an email to a user when you add them to a job
When adding a user to the project/deliverable team of a job, an email will automatically be sent to them explaining that they have been added to that job.
These emails will be held for 5 minutes prior to sending so that, in the event that a user is added to several jobs, they will get one batched email rather than several individual ones.
AD-2158 Deliverable Manager > Automatically name my deliverables
When adding deliverables to a project, we have now added a button that allows you to automatically name them.
The naming convention used is the deliverable’s Asset Type followed by its ID. So, if this deliverable was going to product a Website and its ID was 12345, the resultant deliverable name would be;
Website > 12345
You do not have to use this naming convention if it doesn’t suit your business. If you do apply it to your deliverables you can simply type in a new name for each one as needed.
AD-2159 Deliverable Manager > Batch assign information
When adding deliverables to a project, we have now added a button that allows you to batch edit some of the details of these deliverables. The fields that can be batch edited are;
Asset Type
Supply Deadline
Live Date
Deliverable Overview

Resource Management
Resource Management is a separate module of admation. If you would like to find out more about it, please contact your admation liaison and they will be able to assist.
AD-2096 Project > Rename the Resources button to Project Resources
We had feedback that having the resources screen within a project and the main resources module both called Resources was causing some confusion. We have therefore renamed the Resources button within a project to Project Resources.
AD-2119 Timeline View > Flip the hours on the list so that “9am” is at the top and “5pm” is at the bottom
Now when viewing a resource timeline, the earliest available time will be at the top of each column and the latest available time will be at the bottom.
AD-1926 When viewing a timeline, make the ”Show Weekends” option sticky
Now when viewing a resource timeline, if you have previously selected to show/hide the weekends, the system will remember this and apply the same setting to this view.
AD-1929 When viewing a timeline, make the ”Collapse All” option sticky
Now when viewing a resource timeline, if you have previously selected to collapse the various lists to minimise the space used on the screen, the system will remember this and apply the same setting to this view.
Bug Fixes
AD-1967 Online Forms > When adding a line item to a brief, don’t scroll back to the top of the screen
Fixed a bug that would jump you back to the top of the screen if you added a line item to a brief/form.
AD-2102 Online Form > Images in header/footer are pixelated
Fixed a bug that downgraded the quality of images added to the header/footer of a brief/form.
AD-2115 Asset Library > Filter won’t allow users to see nested Asset Types
If you had Asset Types that were multiple tiers deep (eg Print > Poster > A4 Poster), the search filters only allowed you search on the first two tiers (eg Print > Poster). Now the full list of Asset Types will be available to search from.
AD-2141 RM > Link From Task To A Project > Clicking Back takes you to the wrong screen
Fixed a bug where if you navigated from a task to a job in the resources view, you would taken to the wrong screen if you then clicked Back.
