3.98 Release Notes (June 2021)

This page outlines the new features, improvements, bug fixes and other tasks included in this admation release.


Release Overview


The focus of this release was to focus on some of the functionality and interfaces surrounding the approval process.


Improvements

AD-2716 Approval Checklist > Allow a default approval checklist to be applied to all approvals
For a long time, admation has had the ability to force approvers into filling out a checklist before they are able to approve a piece of work. This was to ensure that the user was reminded about specific issues the work needs to address before they approved it. However, this was always applied via a User Group where the checklist was added to the group and every time that group was required to review something, the users in the group would need to fill in the checklist before they approved.

Now, an organisation can optionally specify a default checklist which every approver will need to complete before they are able to approve the work. This will be applied to individual approvers as well as user groups.

AD-2728 Approval Checklist > Include custom text at the bottom of the checklist

We have added the option of including some customised text at the bottom of the approval checklists which an organisation can specify as they see fit. This text can be formatted and can also include links to additional resources (eg style guides) to assist in informing the approver’s decisions.

AD-2648 Approval Details Add a “Manage Document” button

Previously, when receiving feedback on a Document, there was no good way to upload a new revision of the document from this screen. Now, we have added a Manage Document button. This will take users to the Document Details where they will be able to update the details or upload a new revision and resubmit it.Screen_Shot_2021-06-02_at_3.21.56_pm.png

 

AD-2744 Approval Details > Download feedback reports for old revisions

When viewing the Approval Details screen for an older revision, you are now able to download feedback reports.

 

AD-2729 Feedback Report > Show approval status table on the first page of the report

Feedback reports now include the current approval status of each respondent.

AD-2747 Document Details > Make improvements and bring into line with the rest of the system
The Document Details screen had several issues which we have addressed in this release.

  • Replaced the “+” button with a “New Revision” button to make it more obvious and intuitive

  • When uploading a revision, we have made the uploader more consistent with the rest of the system

  • In addition to PDFs, the system will now also render images, Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents

  • Fixed a bug when attempting to send a revision for approval

AD-2531 Document Approvals > Support Conditional Approval

Previously, only deliverable artwork was able to be Conditionally Approved. We have now extended this to Document approvals as well.

AD-2701 Projects > Export displayed project list

From your projects list, you are now able to search and export a list of projects in an Excel file. The data includes fields such as the ID and name of the project and deliverables, as well as whether it is active, finalised or on hold, who the owners are and the latest WIP note.

 

AD-2699 Project > Resources > Export task list

From within your project, you are now able to export a list of tasks in an Excel file. The data includes fields such as the project name, task name and type, assignee, time logged, % completed, deadline (End Date/Time) and task status.

 

AD-2700 Resources > By Project > Export task list

From the Resources module, you are now able to export a list of tasks in an Excel file. This only applies to the By Project view of the data. The data includes fields such as the project name, task name and type, assignee, time logged, % completed, deadline (End Date/Time) and task status.

 

Bug Fixes

AD-2715 Email Notification > “Your deadline has been missed” > Date missing

When a user submits an approval request, they are able to set a deadline. If that deadline is missed by an approver, the submitter receives an email explaining this. The deadline date had dropped off the email but has now been added back in.

 

AD-2745 Feedback Report > Blank report if the approval file is a video

Fixed a bug where approving a video file would result in a blank feedback report for that submission.
