Sharing Production Files with External Users

Sharing Production Files with External Users

In some cases, you may like to send production files out to an external party outside of the system. You may also like a place to store and share your working files. First, we need to load these into admation. Production files are loaded to your active projects, or they are loaded and stored in the Ad Storage under the Production Files tab.

Adding Your Production Files to an Active Project

Head to your Projects list and select your project from the list. Scroll down to the bottom of your page where you'll find the Production Files section.

Click Browse to add your production files. Once these files are stored against your project, you'll have the option to share them with other internal or external parties using the admation cart!

Use the checkboxes on the left hand side to select the file(s) you'd like to share. Click the Add to Cart Screen_Shot_2019-10-02_at_2.09.19_pm.png button to send the items into your cart.

Skip to the heading Sharing Your Cart for your next steps!

Adding Your Production Files to a Finalised Project

To load production files against a project that's already been finalised and placed in the Ad Storage, click into the asset from the Ad Storage and click View More Information.

Then click on the Production Files tab, and upload your file to the correct deliverable by clicking Upload Now

Where you've loaded a production file against a given asset, you'll be able to click the Add to Cart icon Screen_Shot_2019-10-02_at_2.09.19_pm.png using the individual or batch actions to add this production file to your cart.

Sharing Your Cart

You'll now see a number over your Cart at the top of your screen, representing the number of items inside your cart at a given time. Click this button.

From your cart, you'll see thumbnails of the files you're about to send, along with five menu items. You'll also see an option to Share Cart. This will send all items in your cart out as an email with an attachment to download your files. Click this button.

Type in the name of any admation user into the To field. If you're looking for users without admation accounts, click the Edit Pencil icon Screen_Shot_2019-09-30_at_4.13.28_pm.png and click the External Users tab.

Type in the person's first name, last name and email address as required. Then click Add User, to add the email to the list on the right of your screen. Then select whether each user will be the main recipient, a CC recipient or a BCC recipient for your shared cart. Click Done once you're happy with your inputs.

Then type in a Subject and Message which will be sent as an email along with your attachment link and files. Assign a Priority as required. Note that your cart contents have already been added as attachments by default. Click Send once you're happy. Your recipients will receive an email with a link to download your files as required.

If you haven't done so already, you may also like to finalise your project.
