All Approval vs. Any Approval for Levels
Within Admation, you can control how many people are required to give you feedback on a particular approval level. This is done by using the ALL and ANY buttons. Where you have multiple people on a given approval level, you may like to limit or control the amount of people on that level who need to provide feedback. Essentially you have two options:
- ALL users on a level will need to provide their feedback
- ANY one user on a level needs to provide their feedback for the response to be valid
All Approval on Approval Levels using the Simple Submission Screen
When submitting for approval on the simple screen, an ALL approval is the default for levels. It assumes that everybody listed on an approval level needs to approve the work, before the work progresses to the next templated level.
Any Approval on Approval Levels using the Simple Submission Screen
When submitting for approval on the simple screen, an ANY approval assumes that only one person listed on an approval level needs to approve the work, before the work progresses to the next templated level.
In an ANY approval, once one user provides their feedback, the level is shut off for everybody else. Users on an ANY level also have the added functionality to reserve the work for themselves or other people on a given level.
You can add additional complexities by having groups on a level, who may also have ALL or ANY functionality enabled too.
All and Any Approval for Levels using the Advanced Submission Screen
The advanced submission screen on admation does not use icons to distinguish between all or any, and submissions are templated down the screen. You will have ALL and ANY buttons next to both the name of a given level, and the name of a group, in order to make your edits.
You can also chat to admation about setting up pre-loaded approval templates, to help minimise the guesswork when submitting items for approval.
