What's a WIP Note?
WIP Notes are used to provide users with an overview of how projects are progressing within the system. Whilst WIP notes tend to be quite short, you can also find WIP Note reports under the Reporting section of your account. The WIP Note reports section shows the most recent WIP note written on a project, and can be great for initiating conversations with your team.
Adding WIP Note Types to admation
WIP Note types are used to categorise the different types of WIP notes you may add to a project. Admation gives you the freedom to categorise these WIP notes in any way that best suits your business structure. To add a WIP note type, head to Admin.
A user will only see the admin button if they have specific permissions. Click WIP Note Types.
From the resulting screen, click New WIP Note Type. You may also edit existing WIP Note types by clicking the Pen icon .
Type the name of your new WIP Note Type.
You will then be asked whether you want to mark the WIP Note type as confidential. This is a great setting to use if you have other related organisations working on your project. Otherwise, keep the toggle to No. Click Save once you're happy with your inputs.
Now you'll be able to select your different WIP Note Types from within your project. Each WIP Note Type will be shown under the WIP note section as a dropdown menu.
Deleting WIP Note Types from admation
To delete an existing WIP Note type, select the checkbox for the item/s you'd like to delete. Then click the greyed out delete icon at the top of your screen. Even though it's greyed out, you'll still be able to delete the items. Follow the prompts to confirm your selection.
