Recording a User’s Standard Working Hours

Each user can have a customised set of working hours applied to their account. Working hours is used predominantly to manage resources, and will assist with visualising a user’s overall capacity to complete tasks within admation. It also assists with verifying the total capacity available for a given department or task type.

A user's standard working hours include:

  • Start time
  • Finish time
  • Standard breaks

Standard working hours are also affected by things like annual leave, sick leave and out of office days. To edit a user's standard working hours, select Admin

Then select Users.

Click the Edit buttonAddANewDeptManger3.png for the user you wish to edit.

Standard working hours are displayed at the bottom of the screen. By default, a user's standard working hours are 9AM - 5:30PM with a 1 hour lunch break on Monday to Friday of a given working week. However you may adjust and set new working hours as required.

Click a checkbox to select or unselect a working day. When a workday is selected, you'll have the option to update the standard working hours using the dropdown menus to update the times.

Continue editing the user's working hours as required. The user's workload capacity in the admation resource manager will adjust accordingly.

Adding Lunch Breaks

You may also click the plus icon Screen_Shot_2021-02-23_at_5.16.35_pm.pngon the right hand side of each day to add lunch breaks. Select the standard break length and scheduled start time, where applicable.

You may also remove breaks by clicking on the trash can Screen_Shot_2021-02-23_at_5.17.59_pm.png

How Standard Working Hours Relate to Resourcing

The Resources Manager will limit Department Managers from assigning tasks to users where tasks fall outside of standard working hours, or during a standard scheduled break – however resource managers also have the ability to edit overtime and breaks for any outliers. Once you've finished editing the user's account, click Save.
