Editing Assets in your Digital Asset Libraries

Admation Digital Asset Libraries

Admation has two digital asset libraries, the Ad Storage and the Asset Library.

The Ad Storage displays all finalised and approved deliverables in one handy gallery view, whilst the Asset Library stores all stock imagery, owned imagery and logos. The instructions for both areas of the platform are the same, so you will be able to follow along for either view.

Editing a Single Asset in Your Digital Asset Libraries

Whilst you can't edit the files after they are loaded into an admation digital asset library, you can edit the data that can be used to help you search for that asset! We call this the asset metadata.

To edit your asset metadata for a single asset in the asset library, head to your Ad Storage or Asset Library. Click on the blue i icon for the item you'd like to edit.

You can also click an item's thumbnail to open a preview, where you'll have the option to View More Information on the item from the preview screen.

Then click Edit Metadata.

If there's more than one item in the asset overview on the left side of the page, you can follow these instructions to batch edit your items.

From the resulting page, you'll be able to edit the data you can use to search for your asset using filters, any key dates, and any access controls, if your account has the permissions to manage this.

Most information can be updated by typing your updates in the provided fields. Where prompted, you can also use the pencil icon Screen_Shot_2019-09-30_at_4.13.28_pm.png to make edits to pre-configured custom fields such as the Asset Type, Tags or Markets.

Editing Usage Restrictions for an Asset

One of the key options that you can edit from this page is the Usage Restrictions. If you have usage restrictions, select Yes from the available list of options. You'll then be able to add a usage expiry date and comments about that specific restriction.

Once you're happy with your edits, click Save in the top left hand corner.
