Recalling an Approval Request

Recalling an Approval Request

Uh oh! Most of us have been in a situation before where we've sent something for approval, and then realised that the submission contained a mistake, the wrong people or even the wrong file! Where editing or removing approvers from a workflow can't save you, we've created the ultimate tool to help you recall that request, then revert the deliverable back to a previous version. Crisis averted, right? Here's how it works.

Recalling an Approval Request from your Deliverable

Start by navigating to one of your projects from your Recent Projects or Projects lists. Click on the deliverable that you'd like to recall, using the project structure on the left hand side. Your page should look something like this:

Click on the Settings Icon near the top right hand corner of the grey box showcasing the current version of work. Then click Recall Approval Request.

Admation will provide you with a window to write a message to all approval recipients, letting them know that their approval on this item is no longer required. Click Recall Approval Request to send off that email notification to the team, and to recall that item.

If you had uploaded the wrong file, you may then like to revert to a previous version of your deliverable after that request has been recalled.

Recalling an Approval Request from your Approval Info Tab

This option is best for documents that you've sent for approval, if you'd like to check who's on your approval workflow before recalling the work, or if you're generally more comfortable using the approval info tab already.

From your Project or Deliverable click the blue square icon Screen_Shot_2019-09-30_at_2.12.54_pm.png.

This will show all approval details of any deliverables (or your selected deliverable) within your project. Click the Information icon Screen_Shot_2019-09-30_at_2.10.37_pm.png next to the approval that you'd like to recall.

From the resulting page, you'll be able to see all users that the approval has gone to. You'll also be able to edit approvers in the workflow and edit the approval deadline, provided that all requests are pending. You'll also see a button to Recall Approval Request.

Admation will again, provide you with a window to write a message to all approval recipients, letting them know that their approval on this item is no longer required. Click Recall Approval Request to send off that email notification to the team, and to recall that item.

If you had uploaded the wrong file, you may then like to revert to a previous version of your deliverable after that request has been recalled.
