Applying Markup to an HTML file
Admation supports making comments and feedback on HTML files. This kind of feedback is really helpful for reviewing and approving Google Remarketing ads. An HTML Ad will auto-play once you load the approval screen. Below the HTML ad preview, there are three (3) main buttons:
- Take Snapshot
- Reload Site
You will need to download our screenshot extension onto your browser to use the screenshot feature.
There’s also an option to download the file to your device. It’s found at the bottom of the screen. When you would like to provide feedback on the ad, click the Take Snapshot button.
Adding Annotations to your HTML File
Instead of commenting on the moving image, your comments will be saved on the static snapshot image you’ve taken. To add a markup to the HTML file snapshot, select a tool from the Markup Toolbar at the bottom of your screen. The most popular tool is a rectangle. Select a tool, then click and drag your mouse to draw an area to leave your comments.
Type in your comment, and then click Save. Continue providing your comments as necessary. Then click the Review button to continue reviewing the artwork. Repeat these steps as required.
Adding a General Comment and Uploading Files
You may also like to add a general comment about the add. To add an overall comment as part of your feedback, click the General Comments button. Type in your comment and then click the Tick icon to save it.
If you need to include documents or supporting files as part of your feedback, click the Attach Files button.
Scrolling Between Snapshots
Each of your individual snapshots can be found at the bottom of the page in either Review or Mark Up mode. Hover on the thumbnails across the bottom of your screen to bring them up, and click into a snapshot to see each shot's respective comments.
You may also click the numbers to toggle between snapshots. The number of comments you would expect to find on a given snapshot is highlighted on each thumbnail in yellow. Lastly, you may delete a given snapshot by clicking the trashcan to the very right of each snap.
Approving your Files
Approve or Request Changes in the top left hand corner of this file to send your feedback to the correct team, then click Exit to leave the screen. You can also check out our alternative guides onapproving HTML files in a batch.
