Downloading the Snapshot Extension to Review Websites and Animated Files

Downloading the Snapshot Extension

The Snapshot extension is a handy tool that allows you to annotate websites, videos, HTML files and GIFs in admation. Before you can annotate those files, you'll need to download our web browser Snapshot Extension first. The snapshot extension will add a new icon to your device's browser, and it lets users take and create screenshots of certain files, so that you can annotate them directly in admation.

  • If you're using Google Chrome, you can download the extension here;
  • If you're using Safari, you can download the extension here;
  • If you're using Firefox or another supported browser, you can download the extension from your approval screen, whenever you've been sent a file that requires the extension.

When you're sent an item that requires the snapshot extension, and you don't have the extension, you'll see the following notification:

When you see this notification, you'll need to click the link to Find out more. Admation will check your browser and will supply specific instructions for downloading the plugin. Here's an example of the instructions you would see in a Safari browser without the plugin:

Once you've downloaded the snapshot plugin, you can then follow these instructions for:

  • Annotating websites in admation;
  • Annotating videos in admation;
  • Annotating HTML files in admation;

Annotating GIFs in admation uses the same instructions as the video annotation link.
