Using Continuous Approvals When Submitting Work

Continuous Approvals

In previous guides, you may have learnt about the different approval levels in admation. By this point, you may be thinking about what happens when an item is rejected by a user in a level. Does it still go on to the next level?

By default, the answer is no. Only items that are approved or conditionally approved will proceed to the next level in a templated workflow by default.

However, it's possible to move artwork between levels, even when the artwork has been rejected when using continuous approvals

With continuous approvals, items can continue between levels, even when the artwork has been rejected by the previous level. It's often used by lawyers and other management teams, who may still want to see the work and existing comments on the project, even when changes have been requested by other users. As usual, they'll also receive any artwork that's been approved by these users.

To activate continuous approvals when submitting your artwork for approval, simply click the button that says Continuous for a given level.

In the example above, Level 1 feedback will continue through to Level 2. This regardless of whether Level 1 Approves or Requests Changes on the artwork.

Once you've selected the continuous approval box, keep working through your submission and click Submit once you're ready to send your work off.

Troubleshooting note:  if you are having trouble with your continuous button staying checked, try clicking the word 'Continuous' rather than the checkbox directly.
