Bulk Editing Documents
Sometimes you may need to make multiple edits to document names, document types and access levels. You can do this for individual files or as a bulk edit. To bulk edit documents, go to your Projects list and click on your project. You will see a menu with folders and deliverables.
Documents can be located within projects or deliverables. Use the menu to toggle to go to the correct project, sub-project or deliverable. Then scroll down to the Documents section on the resulting page.
To bulk edit items, select all relevant checkboxes and click the Pencil icon from the bar which runs across the top of documents collection.
This section shows your most recent documents only. If you cannot see your document, click the blue square button to show all documents stored for a given project or deliverable.
You will click through to a screen that allows you to edit multiple documents. For each document, you can:
- Change the file name;
- Change the document type by clicking the Edit Pen ;
- Change the level of access to the file by clicking the Edit Pen ;
Make sure to select the relevant checkboxes if you plan on using the menus across the top of the screen to:
- Send project documents for approval in bulk
- Send the selected project documents as a message
- Edit the associated custom document type for the selected documents in bulk
Click Save at the top of the screen once you’re done.
If you want to edit the contents of the document specifically, you may like to add a new revision of the document instead.
