Putting a Project On Hold
Sometimes business requirements may require you to pop a project on hold. Putting a project on hold pauses all activity within the project. To place a project on hold, head to your Projects list and click into the project you'd like to delete from the platform. From the project details screen, you'll see a menu along the left hand side of the screen. Click the Cog icon to reveal the menu.
Click the Put On Hold option from the menu. Once you put a project on hold, users won't be able to make edits to the project. You'll also know that any actionable buttons on the project (ie New Deliverable, New Sub-Project and Add Revisions) are all greyed out.
Notify Users When a Project Has Been Put On Hold
You'll also have the option to notify users that the project's been paused. Do to so, click the Notify Users button at the top of the project. You can opt to automatically include the Project Team, any Approvers and Task Assignees – or you can manually edit your recipients using the Pen icon. We'll also provide you with a default message to send along with the notification, however you'll be able to customise this message as needed.
If you decide that you would no longer like this project to show in admation, you can delete your project here.
Resuming a Project
You may notice that you won't be able to find your project under your Projects list, as it's hidden by default. To find your project, go to your Projects list, and tick the button that says Include on Hold to show your project in the list.
Once you're ready to resume your project, navigate to the project and click the Cog icon next to the project . Click Take Off Hold to resume activity on your project. You may also want to Send a Message at this point to let users know that the project has been resumed.
