Sending Messages from a Project
The Project Messages section includes all messages sent and received relating to your project specifically.
By sending messages from a project, admation will link each message to your project specifically. This section is really handy because it keeps track of all messages sent related to the project, even if you weren't part of the original email thread. By making all messages accessible to the rest of the team, your team has easy access to messages related to the project, even on your sick days, vacations or out of office days when you aren't physically available to answer these questions.
To send a message for a specific project, locate your project from the Projects menu. Scroll down the project details screen to the messages section. Click New Message to start a message thread, or Reply to respond to an existing message. A pop up will show up with space to write your message.
Selecting Recipients for Your Message
Start by typing a name under the "To" section. Admation will start to suggest active users for you to send your message to. Click the name to add your person to the recipient list.
You can also click the pencil icon to choose from a list of users, system groups, project teams or external non-admation users using the available tabs. Click the green arrow to add your user/s to the selected recipients list, and use the radio buttons to select whether they're CC'ed or BCC'ed to your message. Click Done once you're happy.
Continue filling out your message with the subject line, body text and any attachments if you need to add any. Click Send Message once you're happy with your inputs.
You can also click the blue arrow for more message-related actions including:
- View more messages that you've sent relating to this project
- View all sent and received messages relating to this project, even if they weren't sent to you
You can also send private messages – that aren't attached to a project – by using the Messages icon in the main menu.
This section of admation also allows you to:
- View any message sent to you, regardless of the project
- View all messages you've sent, regardless of the project
- Archive messages
- Save new messages as drafts if you're not ready to send them yet
- View drafts of messages
